Process Manager - Refineries Oil and Gas

Job description
An exciting and challenging opportunity to support a key business unit in a high profile position with a global Oil & Gas/Petrochemical organisation. Key requirements are: Reporting to the Process Manager you will manage the Process Engineering inputs for all Refinery projects across the entire range of engineering projects executed from the UK operating centre - including studies, FEED’s design competitions, and the subsequent execution of EPC and PMC projects. Oversee all new and existing feasibility/planning studies and work closely with the Houston technology team to identify and implement value adding, cost effective solutions for new refinery developments and concepts. Play a key role in building the refinery process engineering team in the UK office, with the opportunity to reach more senior management levels in the worldwide organisation. Work closely with business development and the proposals teams to support the development of bids for new prospects in the region and establish close relationships with key clients and alliance partners. Provide functional leadership for all lead process engineers engaged on refinery projects, ensuring technical integrity and project objectives are met. Work closely with other centres of excellence - particularly Houston. Support, train and mentor Junior engineers within the Process department.

Education and experience
Degree in Chemical Engineering and a chartered member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers. Extensive experience working at the cutting edge of major refinery projects - covering the entire range of activities - from concept/feasibility studies - to the execution of major EPC projects. Proven process/conceptual design experience with a consultant/contractor or operating company in the refining sector with a good knowledge of FCC, hydrocracking and other associated technologies. Excellent leadership skills. Able to direct, coach and mentor people. Able to operate effectively on your own initiative, and also be a strong team player. Excellent communication and presentation skills - able to communicate at all levels internally within Shaw and with client organisations. Highly motivated, proactive and willing to go the extra mile and achieve sustained, long term excellence.
